CHI-TOWN SQUARES
Who We Are
Chi-Town Squares was formed as a Club in 1986, offering an alternative social activity for those in Chicago's LGBTQ+ community. Dancing is a great way to meet people and burn off a few calories!
All are welcome to dance with us.
Attire is casual.
You can dance any position, lead or follow.
A dance partner is not needed.
We use Callerlab definitions and add fun styling to the calls.
Our dance location is smoke & alcohol free and in the heart of Andersonville.
Join us this summer 2025 for a series of three free “No Experience Necessary” nights in July, August, and September! We’ll be offering our fifth annual series of beginning square dance lessons later in September!
Every October we host The Great Chicago Crossfire, our annual fly-in, for a full weekend of dancing with friends old and new who come in from all over the country, and every July the umbrella LGBTQ+ square dance organization IAGSDC hosts a convention bringing hundreds of friends from across the country and the world.
