The Chi-Town Squares Board of Directors
President
Rob has worked tirelessly for our square dance club. He has served in many positions throughout the years, including chair of the Crossfire committee and past terms as board president.
Interim Vice President
John Oldfield was accidentally exposed to Square dancing in the late 1980’s when he went to Carol’s Speakeasy to learn to two-step. He has recently retired from calling for Chi-Town after more than 25 years of teaching. He has served on the boards of the Gay Caller Association and All Join Hands foundation.
Treasurer
Scott joins our board as the treasurer. He took a small hiatus from dancing to gain his master’s in accounting. Upon graduation, he soon put his degree to use by becoming Chi-Town Square’s resident Treasurer. He brings several years of experience working as a staff accountant to the board and to blend two of his favorite passions. On the dance floor, Scott has graduated from A-2, but prefers the fun and more social style of SSD and Plus. Over the years, he has attended 23 conventions and is excited to dance at many more.
Secretary
Kevin Randall has been a member of Chi-Town Squares since the Basic/Mainstream/Plus class of 1994/1995. He attended Chicago's first IAGSDC convention a week after graduation, became permanently hooked on the activity, and is looking forward to receiving his 30 year convention medallion in 2026. He spends some of his free time trying to manage Her Majesty Lesley Gore-Tex, Queen of Honky Tonk (2011).
Andy Pergakis has been square dancing in the LGBTQ+ space since 1983. He has completed classes up to C2, and has enjoyed dancing with people in the Chicago and wider square dancing community.
